Stabbing in Clydebank as taxi passenger is knifed in neck

Police have launched an investigation after a taxi passenger was stabbed in the neck in Clydebank.

The Daily Record understands a passenger from another vehicle launched the attack, which took place in the early hours of the morning, on Fleming Avenue.

Police Scotland say a 27-year-old man has been arrested 'in connection with a road traffic offences'.

 

The condition of the injured man at this stage is unknown.

Officers investigating the attack are also believed to be examining a force CCTV camera erected outside the Delicious Deli unit on the street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson is quoted as saying: "A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences which happened on Fleming Avenue, Clydebank, at 4.20am.

"Inquiries are ongoing."
