Stabbing in Bristol: Boy discharged from hospital and two youths arrested

Police enquiries continue after a 16-year-old boy was assaulted in a park off Troopers Hill, St George.

The incident happened around 9.30pm on Wednesday (April 7).

A cordon was put in place around the site as Avon and Somerset Police investigated the incident.

The victim was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he received treatment for stab wound to the leg and was later discharged.

Two boys, aged 14 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and later released on police bail with conditions including an overnight curfew.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset police said: "We believe this to be an isolated incident involving people known to each other.

"However, neighbourhood officers have increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance."
