'Stabbing' horror at taxi rank as victim left in pool of blood

A man was reportedly stabbed and left in a pool of blood at a taxi rank in West Derby Village.

The victim was allegedly brutally attacked outside the Sefton Arms on Mill Lane at around 10pm.

Witnesses told how the victim was lying in a pool of blood on the pavement as passers-by desperately tried to issue first aid.

The man's condition is not yet known and we have contacted Merseyside Police for further information.

UPDATE: Teen slashed in stomach

A witness told the ECHO: "The lad was lying on the floor by the taxi rank and people were standing all around him.

"They were holding something onto his chest to stop the blood, that must have been where he was stabbed.

"He left in an ambulance but I'm not sure how serious it was."
