
A TEENAGER is in a Newcastle hospital and another due to face court later this month after an alleged Central Coast stabbing.
Police were called to an oval at Bateau Bay about 4.20pm on Thursday opposite the Central Coast Highway after reports of an altercation.
Paramedics treated a 15-year-old at the scene for a stab wound, flying the teenager to the John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Tuggerah Lakes police attended and arrested another teenager, also 15, at the oval.
The second youth was taken to Wyong police station. He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and reckless wounding.
The 15-year-old received conditional bail to face a children's court on October 12.
