St Vincent's confirm two adult players have tested positive for COVID-19

One of Dublin's top GAA clubs has confirmed two adult players have tested positive for COVID-19.

St Vincent's GAA confirmed the news this evening, but will not be shutting down all operations as the players in question isolate and the HSE conduct contact tracing.

All teams with no close contacts will continue business as normal, the club have said.

"St Vincent's GAA have learned of two positive tests for COVID-19 from our Adult Section," they confirmed.

"Both players and the club are following all public health procedures.

"In line with GAA guidelines, all teams with no close contacts identified will continue to train and play as normal."

The Marino club is not the first Dublin club to be affected by the killer bug.

An adult player tested positive for Ballyboden St Enda's last month, while Lusk club Man O' War were forced to briefly shut down operations after a member returned a positive test.
