Gardai are investigating after a group of teens was left beaten and bruised in a horrific assault in a busy city centre park.
The five boys were in St Stephen's Green on Tuesday evening when they were pounced on by a gang of 15 youths.
One of the boys was pushed into the lake during the terrifying attack.
The gang rained down punches on the five leaving them with black eyes and swollen jaws.
A garda spokeswoman said the gardai are investigating the incident.
She said: "I refer to your enquiry and confirm gardai are investigating an assault that occurred in St. Stephens Green at approximately 6 pm on Tuesday evening August 24, 2021.
"A number of youths attacked a group of boys.
"Investigations ongoing."
