St Patrick's Weekend bank holiday opening hours for Aldi, Lidl, Dunnes Stores, Tesco and Supervalu

With St Patrick's Weekend festivities almost upon us,it means that a number of supermarkets will be operating bank holiday hours for not one but two days.

Both March 17 and 18 are bank holidays this year as a Covid-19 bonus for the general public.

From 2023 onwards a new bank holiday will take place on St Brigids Day.

St Patrick's Day 2022 will be the first time in two years that festivities can take place across Ireland and the globe due to the last two being cancelled due to Covid-19.

Here are all the main supermarkets opening hours on bank holidays.

LIDL

Lidl stores across Ireland operate Sunday hours on bank holidays, including St Patricks Day. The usual opening hours for bank holidays and Sundays is 9am-9pm.

Dunnes Stores

Like Lidl, Dunnes have a store locator section on its website which shows the opening hours for March 17 and 18.

Dunnes in. Blanchardstown Centre will be open between 9am - 8pm for both bank holidays.

Aldi

Aldi stores across Dublin will open between 9am -9pm on the bank holidays.

Tesco

Tesco stores across Dublin tend not to have the same opening and closing times as each other.

Tesco Roselawn opens at 7am and closes at 11pm. Other Tesco locations such as Tesco College Green opens at 8am and closes at 10pm.

Supervalu

Like Tesco, Supervalu stores tend to operate individual opening hours. Click here to check your local store's opening hours.
