St Patrick's Day parade and party 2020 in Nottingham: Time, dates, entertainment and what's on

The East Midlands' biggest shamrock shaking shindig is once again returning to Nottingham for a full day of free non-stop family fun which this year includes a live performance from the Riverdance cast in Old Market Square.

This year St Patrick's Day falls on a Tuesday (March 17) with celebration kicking off at 11.30am in Slab Square.

Now in its 21st year, the parade will assemble at 11.30am at the pedestrianised junction of Thurland Street and Pelham Street. It is due to arrive outside the council house at 12.30pm.

Comhaltas, St Barnabas GAA, Golden Shamrock Club and the dancing schools will all have information marquees in the square to share what they do while also performing on the main stage.

The headline act is Irish and County star John McNicholl.

And if you fancy getting up early, there will be a mass of celebration of St Patrick at the Church of Our Lady and St Patrick in The Meadows, starting at 9.30am.
