St Patrick's Day EuroMillions ticket that won over €400,000 was sold in Clondalkin, west Dublin

A Dublin punter has discovered the true meaning of the phrase the luck of the Irish after winning over €400,000 in the St Patrick's Day EuroMillions draw.

The winning ticket was sold at the Tesco Liffey Valley store on the Fonthill Road, Clondalkin.

While the player was regrettably one number short of scooping the entire €63,600,033 jackpot, they still had a day to remember with their whopping €404,532 win.

The winning EuroMillions numbers for last night’s draw were: 05, 07, 08, 16, 20 and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 12.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We are urging all our EuroMillions players across the country to check their tickets to see if they have won prizes as more than 42,000 Irish players won cash prizes on last night’s draw.

“We are particularly asking those who played in Dublin and more specifically those who shopped in Tesco Liffey Valley to check to see if they have this very valuable piece of paper worth €404,532.

“If you find you are the winner of this prize, be sure to sign the back of the ticket, keep it in a safe place and contact our prize claims team on 01 836 4444 and we will make arrangements for you to come to the National Lottery to collect your prize.”
