St Pat's target Waterford keeper Brian Murphy along with Blues team-mate

St Pat's are chasing Waterford goalkeeper Brian Murphy but the former Ireland squad man has not ruled out staying with the Blues.

The Saints are in the market for a new goalkeeper after club stalwart and Player of the Year Brendan Clarke joined city rivals Shelbourne this week.

Ex-Cardiff City, Portsmouth, QPR and Ipswich keeper Murphy returned to the League of Ireland this season after almost a decade away.

And the title winner with Bohemians impressed as Waterford just missed out on a fourth-placed finish on the final night of the season.

He currently has a number of suitors around the Premier Division, with St Pat’s chief among them.

Waterford’s preparations for next season are up in the air as they do not have a permanent manager and risk losing a host of players in the coming days.

Mirror Sport understands St Pat’s could land Blues utility man Sam Bone while Sligo Rovers have met with Waterford full-back Tyreke Wilson.
