St Pat's have tonight signed striker Martin Rennie from Montrose.
Scorer of 14 goals for the Scottish side last season and two in this campaign, the 25-year-old is eager to hit the ground running with the Saints.
Rennie said: “The number one aim for me is to score goals. I didn’t come here to struggle, I want to play at a high standard and show what I’ve got.”
Saints boss Stephen O’Donnell believes the best if yet to come from his new striker who joined Montrose from non-league side Lochgelly.
Rennie was on St Pat's radar having played alongside new Saints assistant manager Patrick Cregg at Montrose last season.
O’Donnell said: “He has a good goalscoring record in Scotland and we feel that he is joining us at a good age as his best years are ahead of him.
“He’s a willing worker and gives everything for the jersey - that’s the type of player that we want at St Pat’s.”
Rennie made 17 appearances for Montrose this season and last played for them on January 4.
Elsewhere, Waterford have signed midfielder Ali Coote from Brentford.
The 21-year-old previously played for Dundee United and had a loan spell with East Fife.
