St Pat's sign Dundalk striker Georgie Kelly on loan ahead of League of Ireland restart

St Pat's boss Stephen O'Donnell has signed striker Georgie Kelly on loan from his former club Dundalk.

Ex-Lilywhites star O'Donnell takes his Saints side to Oriel Park on Friday and added 23-year-old Kelly, formerly of Derry City and UCD, to his squad ahead of the restart.

St Pat's added firepower following a mixed start to their Premier Division campaign before the coronavirus suspension, with two wins and two losses from their four fixtures.

Kelly netted eight times last year for Dundalk, featuring mainly as a substitute. He will link up with former Dundalk team-mate Robbie Benson at Richmond Park.

The club also announced the departure of Ireland Under-19 international keeper Brian Maher today.

"Goalkeeper Brian Maher has left the club by mutual consent," St Pat's tweeted.

"We'd like to thank Brian for his four years at the club & wish him well for the future."

Meanehile, Former Ireland international David Meyler threw his support behind watchloi.ie earlier, with the streaming service set to show SSE Airtricity League fixtures for the remainder of the shortened season.

The former Cork City man tweeted: "Football isn't over yet. Great new live streaming service of League of Ireland games available."
