St. Pat's down key men as they face Derry City for second time in two weeks

St Patrick's Athletic will be without Lee Desmond and Dean Clarke when they face Derry City tonight for the second time in less than a fortnight.

Desmond scored a wonder goal when the sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Brandywell but is forced to watch from the stands.

Saints were held 1-1 at home by Bohs on Friday and boss Harry Kenny said: “Derry were tough opponents recently and we know we need to be at it.

“But I thought we played well up there and got a good point. If we can show the same levels of performance from that night, I’d be hopeful we can pick up a result.”

Derry travel to the capital after a 0-0 draw away to Sligo Rovers on Saturday and manager Declan Devine has a host of injury concerns.

Eoghan Stokes and Patrick McClean are out while Ally Gilchrist and Darren Cole require fitness tests.
