St Pat's 2-1 Bray Wanderers: Glen McAuley bags the winner as the Saints come from behind

Glen McAuley was sprung from the bench to score his first goal for St Pat’s as they had to come behind to put First Division Bray out of the FAI Cup at Richmond Park.

Dominant Saints hit the woodwork through Darragh Markey and Simon Madden only to find themselves a goal down five minutes before the break.

The hardworking John Martin won a free kick that Derek Daly’s left foot crashed against the St Pat’s crossbar, the ball flying up into the air.

Dean Williams was first to the dropping ball to bundle it over the line to stun the small home attendance.

Dave Webster worked a one-two with Dean Clarke to fire Saints level on 55 minutes.

Saints’ Jamie Lennon had to clear off the line from Dylan McGlade before McAuley, 19, cut in from the left to crash a shot past Gabriel Sava to win it.
