St Modwen unveils sneak peak of North Staffordshire's newest trade park

Developer St Modwen has released the first image of what North Staffordshire's newest trade park could look like.

The firm broke ground on the multi-million pound development, at Etruria Valley, in Stoke-on-Trent, last week.

Plans for the site include a trade park which will boast 11 industrial units totalling more than 43,000 square feet - and one speculatively built industrial warehouse of the same size.

Now St Modwen has released the first artist impression of the development, which is expected to be completed in March 2020.

The new units will be constructed opposite the Vodafone's Stoke-on-Trent call centre and will join big-name businesses including DPD and bet365 on Festival Park.

Euan Lindsay, senior development manager at St Modwen, said: "The trade park scheme which is being built for Stoke-on-Trent City Council will provide a range of small employment units to a market with an encouraging level of demand.

"We’re very pleased to be assisting the council in creating and securing employment opportunities in the city.

“The additional 43,000 sq ft unit that will be built alongside the trade park will provide first-class industrial and logistics space for companies looking to secure well-located, quality accommodation.”

Councillor Daniel Jellyman, cabinet member for regeneration, infrastructure and heritage at Stoke-on-Trent City Council, believes there is a high demand from businesses for a scheme like this.

He said: "It's significant that a regeneration specialist like St. Modwen continues to invest in Stoke-on-Trent, and to me that shows our approach to economic growth is working and that we are moving in the right direction.

"We’re really pleased to be working in partnership with St. Modwen on this scheme, and look forward to seeing the development get under way and the positive impact it will have. The message is clear – Stoke-on-Trent is open for business.”
