St Mirren host Rangers in Scottish Premiership action this Sunday.

Russell Martin's side head to Paisley to face Stephen Robinson's charges in the third match of the new league season.

The match had been in doubt due to Rangers' involvement in the Champions League play-off round. Clubs involved in play-off ties are allowed to request their matchday three fixture be postponed.

However, Rangers withdrew their request to reschedule the match, with it set to go ahead as initially planned on Sunday, August 24.

An SPFL update confirmed: "Following further discussions with Rangers, St Mirren and relevant stakeholders, we can confirm that Rangers have withdrawn their request."

St Mirren host Rangers in league action on Sunday, August 24.

The match will be played at the SMiSA Stadium.

Kick-off is at 12pm.

What is the latest St Mirren vs Rangers team news? 

Rangers will be without Nasser Djiga for the trip to Paisley. The centre-back is suspended after being sent off against Dundee last weekend at Ibrox.

He will be back in contention to face Celtic at the end of this month.

Liam Donnelly is expected to miss out for St Mirren after an injury in pre-season. He is yet to make his competitive debut for the club since joining from Kilmarnock in the summer.
