St Mirren trio to miss Motherwell clash amid fresh Covid blow

St Mirren have confirmed three players will miss their clash with Motherwell after two positive tests.

This is the second time the Buddies have been impacted by the coronavirus with three goalkeepers previously missing clashes with Celtic and Hibs.

Another three starts will miss out as Stephen Robinson's side come to Paisley this Saturday.

Saints boss Jim Goodwin (SNS Group)

The statement read: "St Mirren Football Club can confirm that two first-team players have returned a positive COVID-19 test result in our most recent round of routine testing.

"The players who returned positive tests will self-isolate in line with Scottish Government guidelines. We can also confirm that another player is in self-isolation as a precaution.

Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson will be looking to get back with a win at St Mirren (Alan Harvey/SNS Group)

"As a result, the three players will be unavailable for this weekend’s match against Motherwell."
