St Mirren will take on Linfield tomorrow ahead of the Northern Ireland league winners’ crunch Champions League qualifier.
The Buddies have been training in Belfast this week ahead of their first competitive fixture of the season, a Premier Sports Cup clash against Dumbarton next Saturday.
And tomorrow afternoon Saints will take on Linfield behind-closed-doors in the Belfast side’s final game before they take on FK Zalgiris in the first qualifying round of the Champions League in Lithuania on Tuesday night.
Linfield, currently managed by former Rangers striker David Healy, lost 1-0 to Kilmarnock on Wednesday with Innes Cameron’s strike separating the sides.
The Saints are set to return back home to Paisley after the match, with a final behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly against Ayr United on Tuesday night at the SMISA Stadium currently planned.
They then travel to the C&G Systems Stadium on Saturday, July 10 to take on Stephen Farrell’s Sons in their first competitive fixture of the 2021/22 campaign.
That game could see manager Jim Goodwin hand competitive debuts to his summer signings Alan Power, Charles Dunne, Curtis Main, Scott Tansey and Greg Kiltie.
