Dumbarton have been forced to pull out of their game against St Mirren following a Covid outbreak.
The Premier Sports Cup group opener has been awarded to the Buddies as a 3-0 victory after a positive test in the Sons' ranks.
The game is the second to be axed so far in the competition with Forfar being handed a 3-0 win over Ross County after football operations were suspended at the Staggies amid a virus scare.
A statement from the Paisley club read: " Dumbarton informed the SPFL that a player had tested positive for COVID-19 and, as a result of close contacts and player injuries, they do not have sufficient players available to fulfil the fixture.
"St Mirren Football Club would like to wish the affected player all the very best in his recovery."
A Dumbarton club statement added: "The player in question has not attended our stadium since last Saturday's friendly with Clydebank and there is no risk to anybody who has been at the stadium since then.
"We apologise for the disappointment this will cause, as we were very much looking forward to returning to competitive action with our fans in our stadium."
An SPFL spokesman said: “Consistent with previous announcements in respect of similar issues in the group stage of this competition, any team unable or unwilling to field a team in a Premier Sports Cup Round 1 group stage tie, will forfeit the match on the basis of a 3-0 defeat. Accordingly, St Mirren have been awarded a 3-0 win in the tie."
Jim Goodwin's side will now play their first game of the Group H against Dunfermline on Tuesday.
