St Mirren new boy Junior Morias is feeling the love after penning Saints deal

Junior Morias insists he didn’t have to think twice after penning a two-year deal with St Mirren.

The 24-year-old striker arrives at the Buddies for an undisclosed fee from Northampton Town.

He previously enjoyed spells at the likes of Wycombe Wanderers and Peterborough having spent the entirety of his career south of the border.

And speaking to the Paisley Daily Express , Morias said: “It is good to finally get it sorted – it is good to feel wanted by a manager and a club. I am grateful and thankful that this got sorted.

“I only found out about the interest a few days ago. My agent called me and told me of the interest from St Mirren and I didn’t hesitate – I just said to him let’s do it.

“It is all positive and I am really excited to get started."

Morias could go straight into the squad for Sunday’s clash with Rangers.

And Saints manager Jim Goodwin is delighted to have landed his man.

He added: “Junior has played at a decent level down in England.

“He’s a very good footballer, technically good and physically very strong. He’s good with his back to goal, links the game up and has a turn of pace as well which is important in the modern day game.

“We’re very lucky to have him in and I’m excited to see him in training tomorrow.”
