St Mirren linked with loan move for Aberdeen winger Matty Kennedy

St Mirren have been linked with a loan swoop for talented Aberdeen winger Matty Kennedy.

The Northern Ireland international has been on Saints boss Jim Goodwin's radar for some time, with the Buddies having moved for the 26-year-old last year before he eventually joined the Dons.

Goodwin has spoken over the summer of his desire to add pace to his side, having lost wingers Ilkay Durmus and Dylan Connolly during the course of the current transfer window.

And Kennedy, who has yet to feature at Pittodrie under new boss Stephen Glass, is understood to be keen on a temporary move to ensure he gets more game time this season.

Ross County are also interested in the former St Johnstone and Kilmarnock winger, who made 39 appearances for Aberdeen last season, scoring once against Rangers in January.
