St Mirren goalkeeper makes Clyde switch as Danny Lennon raids former club

Danny Lennon has bolstered his Clyde goalkeeping ranks by adding David Wilson after his St Mirren exit.

The 19-year-old stopper left the Buddies at the end of last season having spent time on loan at Glenafton in the former West Region Junior ranks.

The Bully Wee boss Lennon has already bolstered the ranks of the League One side with recruits from his former side this week with duo Jay Henderson and Josh Jack joining on a season-long loan.

With Wilson coming in, young Clyde back-up Mark McGhee has now went on loan to West of Scotland League outfit Forth.

Broadwood goalkeeping coach Chris Fahey told the club website: ""I’m delighted to get David on board and I’m really looking forward to working with him.

"I have monitored his progress over the last 12 months and the fact that he was loaned out to Glenafton last season and gained experience at that level was a big part in us signing him.

"He’s a fantastic young keeper who will have a big future in the game."
