St Mirren fans make coronavirus-themed Celtic ticket protest as they continue twenty's plenty campaign

St Mirren supporters continued their protest against the price of tickets for away supporters with a coronavirus-themed display at Celtic Park.

The Paisley side's fans have been regular campaigners for lower prices this season and decided to take it one step further during their game against Celtic on Saturday afternoon.

Supporters were dressed in hazmat suits and wore face masks as they unveiled their banner which read: "Warning: Con-£30."

Stewards took the banner down but Saints fans will have been happy to have already made their point before it was removed.

It didn’t stop St Mirren fans though as they put it back up once stewards had left, as well as another banner which said: “Twenty’s Plenty. Greedy hands, empty stands.”

Celtic fans have also been heavily involved in the twenty’s plenty campaign.

They’ve regularly had displays at both home and away games and called on their own club to take the lead by charging lower prices.

A previous banner from Hoops fans said: “Motherwell vs Celtic - £30. Hearts vs Hamilton - £29. Celtic vs St Johnstone - £30. Lower prices for all fans. Celtic - set the trend. Twenty’s plenty.”
