St Mirren beat Hibs and Aberdeen to Eamonn Brophy signature as striker agrees pre-contract deal

St Mirren have pulled off a major transfer coup by persuading Kilmarnock striker Eamonn Brophy to switch Ayrshire for Paisley.

Despite interest from Hibs, Aberdeen, Hearts, St Johnstone and a host of English Championship clubs, the Scotland international has agreed a three-year deal with the Buddies.

It's understood the forward, who has scored 35 goals in more than 100 appearances for Killie, was at the club last night undertaking a medical and putting pen to paper on a pre-contract deal with his current contract up in the summer.

The former Celtic and Hamilton youth player, who made his Scotland debut against Cyprus in June 2019, could move this month should St Mirren be able to strike a deal to bag the forward earlier than the summer.
