Bellshill star Shaun Rooney fired St Johnstone to an unbelievable trophy double with the winning goal in their Scottish Cup final triumph over Hibernian.
Three months on from netting the winner in their League Cup final victory over Livingston, history repeated itself this afternoon when the 24-year-old struck again with a first half header to earn a 1-0 win over narrow favourites Hibs - and win the Scottish Cup for only the second time in Saints' history.
Rooney - nicknamed the 'Bellshill Cafu' - was one of three Lanarkshire stars to feature in the final with East Kilbride man Craig Bryson in the Saints midfield, while Cambuslang-based striker Kevin Nisbet was on the losing Hibernian side.

Rooney broke the deadlock after 32 minutes when he powered home a header at the back post from David Wotherspoon's cross.
Saints had a huge chance to seal the victory in the 75th minute when they were awarded a penalty, but Hibs keeper Matt Macey pulled off an outstanding double save to deny Glenn Middleton from the penalty spot and then turn away Chris Kane's effort on the rebound.

Hibs pushed for a late leveller, but Rooney and the Saints' rearguard held firm to seal a unforgettable season for Callum Davidson's side.
It's also a momentous moment for Bryson, who hadn't won a senior trophy in his entire career until joining the Saints and now has two in the space of a few months.
