St Johnstone loan star Danny McNamara selected for Republic of Ireland under-21 training camp

St Johnstone loan star Danny McNamara has earned another call-up to the Republic of Ireland’s under-21 squad.

The right-sided full-back was today (Wednesday, August 26) named in Jim Crawford’s 25-man squad for a training camp next week.

McNamara, “delighted” with the news, has been in impressive form for Saints since arriving on loan from Millwall at the start of the season.

The 21-year-old didn’t take long to show off his attacking and defensive qualities in the curtain-raiser against Dundee United earlier this month.

He has since been selected from the start in every Scottish Premiership fixture and has received rave reviews from Perth manager Callum Davidson.

McNamara is again expected to get the nod when Saints welcome St Mirren to McDiarmid Park on Saturday afternoon.
