St Gall's GAA club suspends activity following positive Covid-19 test

A West Belfast GAA club has suspended all club activities after a player tested positive for Covid-19.

St Gall's issued a statement on Thursday confirming a senior player had tested positive for the virus.

In a statement, the club said: "Folks, we have just learned that a senior footballer has unfortunately tested positive with Covid-19. We wish him a speedy recovery in the days ahead.

"As we continue to liaise with the PHA and GAA, and await further guidance, we have made the decision to suspend all activity for both our minor and senior panels; male and female.

"We hope to release an updated statement within the next 24 hours.

"Go raibh maith agat."

The news comes one week after West Belfast clubs Gort na Mona CLG and Lámh Dhearg CLG both suspended activity after a player from each tested positive for Covid-19.
