Patients at St Columba's Hospice in Edinburgh received a special visit this week.
Two therapy ponies, Wilson and Flicker, made a return to the hospice on Boswall Road.
Patients had a chance to get up close and personal with the animals as they trotted around the wards.
The duo are part of Therapy Ponies Scotland, who bring their miniature Shetland ponies to care homes, hospitals and hospices around the country.
St Columba's has been providing palliative care to people at the end of their lives since 1977.

They said on Facebook: "Earlier this week, we had a very special visit from our favourite little ponies, Wilson and Flicker!
"It was great to welcome Therapy Ponies Scotland back to the Hospice to see our patients, families, volunteers and staff.
"We can't get enough, look at those wee shoes!"
The visit comes after the hospice was part of a pioneering new scheme to trial virtual reality gear, allowing patients to "travel the world" without leaving their wards.
