St Bride’s Primary hand over £1000 to homeless charity The Marie Trust

St Bride’s Primary School in Bothwell kicked off their 2020 fundraising in style last week by presenting a cheque to the Marie Trust for the magnificent sum of£1000.

The Marie Trust is a homeless charity based in central Glasgow, providing services that meet the needs of people affected by homelessness and social exclusion.

They have been adopted by the senior pupils from St Bride’s as one of their charities for the year.

And before the festive break the pupils held a Christmas concert and a sponsored sleep- out to raise awareness of the incredible work of the charity.

Last week the pupils’ good work continued as the Children and Teacher Association organised a pancake stack for the youngsters in the school and were fortunate to receive money-match sponsorship that took their total to an incredible £1000.

Head teacher Denise Pacitti said: “Well done to everyone involved and a huge thank you to our very generous school community, who always put others first.”
