St Aidan's PS open new community garden in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland

Rain failed to dampen spirits as St Aidan’s Primary welcomed residents in to celebrate the grand opening of their new community garden.

The garden has been developed by the school in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland, and is designed to be both child and dementia-friendly.

Members of the local community, as well as past and present school staff and representatives of Alzheimer Scotland, gathered recently to see the ribbon being cut to officially open the stunning space.

Rosalind Quinn, a teacher at St Aidan’s Primary, said the day went without a hitch.

She said: “Apart from the weather, the day went really well.

“There was a great turnout and everyone loved seeing how much the garden has developed. The children from the Green Hands Together group have done a fantastic job.”
