SSPCA launches bid to reunite Kilmarnock hamster with owner

An animal welfare charity has launched a bid to reunite a hamster with its owner.

The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) said that the rodent was found straying in the town's St Andrews Walk.

The hamster has a distinctive cataract on one eye too.

The SSPCA said: "We are hoping to reunite this wee hamster with his owner. He was found straying in St Andrews Walk, Kilmarnock.

"He has a cataract in one eye so is quite distinctive. Hopefully someone is looking for him.

"If you recognise him please contact our centre in Ayr on 03000 999 999."
