The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a cat was found abandoned in a cage in Dreghorn.
The animal welfare charity was alerted to the black and white moggy by a concerned member of the public who found it at Tiree Court on May 5.
As spokesman said: “The cat was found in a cage, along with a bowl of food.
“We haven’t been able to determine if the cat is male or female as it is very nervous and hasn’t been friendly enough for us to approach.
“The cat is not microchipped and appears to have the back of both front legs shaved.
“We would urge anyone who recognises this cat to contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
