SSPCA Edinburgh centre need donations of cat food and old newspapers - can you help?

The animals at the Scottish SPCA Edinburgh centre need your help.

The charity took to social media to ask the public "can you help" by handing in some much-needed donations.

This time around it is their cats who are in need, with the centre appealing for adult cat meat in jelly.

You can buy your donations at a shop and hand it into the centre in Balerno between 10am-4pm - apart from Tuesdays, when they're closed.

Alternatively, you can purchase it through the centre's Amazon wish list, which can be found here, and have it sent direct to them.

The brands on their wish list include Sheba cat food pouches, Gourmet wet cat food and Felix pouches.

They are also in need of old newspapers and shredded paper for many of the animals in their care.

The SSPCA receive no government funding and rely completely on donations from the public.
