A Sri Lankan court has given permission for DNA tests to be carried out on the remains of one of the suicide bombers involved in the Easter Sunday attacks, in order to confirm whether he was the suspected mastermind, Mohamed Zahran.
Authorities will compare the DNA with that of Zahran's four-year-old daughter, who survived a raid on a safe house a week after the bombings.
