Squid Games season 3 is now available to stream on Netflix, but if you are a super fan - chances are you have already binged it and have seen that ending.
The much-loved show came to an official end with season 3 - with creators confirming there will be no more to come from the bloodthirsty series.
But the ending left some fans quite unhappy. Here is what happened in the fateful finale:
**SPOILERS AHEAD**
Who dies in Season 3 of Squid Games?
The more apt question would be who lives - and the answer is, erm, nobody pretty much.
Not one of the original players make it through the game, including Gi-hun who ends up sacrificing himself for a noble cause.
Mum Jun-hee also forfeits her life in a bid to keep her newborn safe. She hurts herself during a game of Hide and Seek, and injures her ankle following a tumble down the stairs.
The next event is Jump Rope, and she opts to step off the ledge, falling to her death, but ensuring her baby's safety with Gi-hun.
Vengeful fans had hoped that Front Man would ultimately face justice, but in a surprising turn of events, he survives after a change of heart prompts him to save Jun-hee's baby and flee the island following a confrontation with his brother Jun-ho.
How did Gi-hun die?
Our main character, Gi-hun, or player 456, is there to get revenge. But in a shocking fate that has left users baffled, dies just 20 minutes into the finale.
Following the first two rounds of Sky Squid Game that were played in Episode 5, the finale opens with three players left in the game: Gi-hun, Myung-gi/Player 333 and the baby strapped to her chest.
The newborn is the child of Jun-hee/Player 222 (Jo Yu-ri), who sacrificed herself earlier in the season and left her daughter in Gi-hun’s care, even though Myung-gi is her father.
Gi-hun, desperate to protect the baby, makes it to the end of the deadly game atop the three sky-high-pillar structures.
Myung-gi crosses to the final of the three pillars and holds Gi-hun at pole length and threatens him to hand over the baby so that Myung-gi can leave Gi-hun to his death on the second pillar. Myung-gi wants to then throw his own daughter off the final pillar to win the game.
Gi-hun sets down the baby and lets Myung-gi pick her up and bring her over to the third pillar, about to sacrifice her.
But our hero Gi-hun jumps over and begins to fight Myung-gi to the death with the knife he’s had in his possession, as the baby lies off to the side.
Myung-gi eventually falls to his death and Gi-hun climbs back up, seemingly victorious, until he realizes neither he or Myung-gi ever actually pressed the button to start the final round. That means Myung-gi’s death didn’t count toward the game, and now Gi-hun has to either kill himself or the baby for it to end.
With tears in his eyes, he puts down the baby and chooses to fall backwards to his death. His final words before the jump were, “We are not horses. We are humans. And humans are…” He does not finish the thought.
Why did Gi-hun have to die?
The decision to have Gi-hun meet his demise has left many viewers questioning what the point of the whole series was.
One wrote: "I've never been this p*****, literally this man sacrificed his life, watched all of his loved ones get eliminated in front of him, didn't get his happy ending with his daughter, just to end up dying for nothing.”
Others were equally as upset.

Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk explained that he aimed to inspire hope with the ending.
"I believe we also have the responsibility and duty to try everything that we can in our power to leave a better world for the future generation," he stated.
"The baby emerging as the winner was in line with the meaning of Squid Game."
What happened to the baby?
The baby is declared the winner of the games, and In-ho - clearly inspired by the selflessness - goes to collect the baby and bring her to safety.
When In-ho reaches the baby, his long lost brother Jun-ho (Wi Ha-jun) - who has been leading the mission to find the island, and has spent several years trying to find his brother - sees him from the control room. Jun-ho screams at In-ho, wanting to know why In-ho has become the Front Man, but In-ho just turns and exits with the baby.
Jun-ho wonders after the game what happened to the prize money that Gi-hun had hoarded after his first games.
When Jun-ho arrives home later, he finds the baby that In-ho had been holding has been left for him.
In-ho goes to Los Angeles to deliver a package to Gi-hun’s daughter, Seong Ga-yeong. He tells her that her father is dead, and he has left these belongings to her.
She opens the box to find it contains his 456 uniform, along with a bank card that is implied to be loaded with Gi-hun’s winnings from the first game.
In-ho leaves, and is riding in a car with a driver in downtown Los Angeles with the window down when he notices two people playing a familiar game of ddakji with a slapping twist in an alley....
What could happen next?
The Squid Games creator confirmed it is the end of the road for the characters we have met over the seasons, and this storyline.
But could there be a new version being created.
Some fans believe the ending could open up a new franchise of the Squid Games to be made - in America.
The ending appeared to show the game moving worldwide:
