A café specialising in calorie-packed milkshakes is challenging diners to take on a Squid Game inspired task to earn their giant drink for free.
Oatcakes and Milkshakes, in Stone, Staffordshire, is renowned for monster milkshakes and the popular Stoke-on-Trent delicacy - oatcakes.
Their latest menu item is inspired by streaming sensation Squid Game - a Korean series which sees contestants play games inspired by playground fun to win just under £30 million.
But fail a task, and the participants pay the ultimate price - with their life.
One such challenge sees contestants cut out a shape from a piece of honeycomb-like shaped candy, called dalgona.
Valiant visitors of Oatcakes and Milkshakes are invited to try and cut out the honeycomb shape from the piece of dalgona, and if successful the £10 shake will be on the house.
The Halloween special is recommended for over 18s only, and features a honeycomb milkshake with a hazelnut spread frosted glass covered in honeycomb pieces and edible shaped, topped with black ice cream and edible Squid Game characters.
Posting a photo of the shake to Facebook, the family business, run by Michelle and Stephen Felgate and sons Jay and Jordi, said: “How would you do in the Squid Game? Time to find out.
“Introducing our new Halloween special, The Squid Game Monster Shake!
“Successfully cut out your honeycomb shape without cracking it within two minutes and we’ll completely refund the price of your Monster Shake. If you don’t win, don’t worry you can still enjoy your monster shake.”
And much like characters of the hit Netflix series, the dalgona task isn’t as easy as it seems, with the cafe staff struggling to complete it.
The cafe added: “Let’s just say if Squid Game was real, we would have no staff left after the honeycomb challenge as they all failed.”
Oatcakes and Milkshakes launched in the Staffordshire market town in 2015, and proved a real hit with customers far and wide.

Other monster shakes on the menu are priced at £6,90, featuring sweet treats from independent business Amy Bakers Cakes.
Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy giant Lotus Biscoff monster shakes, alongside Kinder, Oreo or cookie monster shakes.
And if you still have room, you can order the popular Stokie dish of oatcakes - a sort of savoury pancake enjoyed with a selection of fillings, but most commonly enjoyed with cheese, bacon and sausage.
If you’ve got an appetite big enough, and love a foodie challenge like the Squid Game shake, then order the breakfast king, featuring four layered oatcakes filled with two bacon, two sausage, two fried eggs, two hash browns, black pudding, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and melted cheese for £8.80.
