Spurs vs Crystal Palace depth chart: Ndombele and Walker-Peters to return with rest for Sanchez?

Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action on Saturday with Crystal Palace the visitors.

The international break has come to an end but Mauricio Pochettino's men did not manage to make it through unscathed.

Summer signing Argentina international Giovani Lo Celso suffered a hip injury which will keep him out of action until late October at the earliest.

However, other players are expected to return to training after injury and could be back in time for the match against Roy Hodgson's men on Saturday afternoon at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Here is the squad depth chart at Tottenham ahead of the match.

Goalkeepers

Hugo Lloris is fit and ready to play after two France appearances while Paulo Gazzaniga is as ever ready to come in. Alfie Whiteman is the new third choice keeper at the club with Brandon Austin close behind.

Right-back

This one all depends on the latest injury news from the club on Thursday.

All indications were that Kyle Walker-Peters was set to return to training ahead of the Palace game after his hamstring strain, but that will be confirmed or denied by Pochettino at his press conference.

Serge Aurier has started twice for Ivory Coast in the last five days and will be travelling back on Wednesday.

Juan Foyth, who played well at right-back for Spurs and Argentina towards the end of last season and in the summer, is also expected to return to training soon after his ankle injury.

Centre-back

Pochettino has plenty of options here in Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez, Foyth as well as Japhet Tanganga, who impressed in pre-season against top opposition. Vertonghen has now had three starts in a row to boost his match fitness and sharpness.

Sanchez has the furthest to travel back after Colombia's matches in the USA, the second of which was played in the early hours of Wednesday morning UK time, and is unlikely to return to training until later than many of his colleagues.

Eric Dier was complaining of a hip problem before the international break and Pochettino will update on Thursday whether he is ready to return yet.

Left-back

Danny Rose played just one of England's match during the break and Ben Davies started his first match of the season in Wales' second match.

There could also be a new challenger in Ryan Sessegnon, who joined in the summer from Fulham, and was expected to return to first team training during this international break although he is unlikely to be ready for Palace.

Central midfield

Another position with candidates aplenty. Pochettino said before the break that he hoped club record signing Tanguy Ndombele would be back fit for the game.

Harry Winks did not play at all for England so will be freish while Moussa Sissoko only started one of France's matches. Then there are Oliver Skipp, Victor Wanyama as well as Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen who can all play in that deeper role.

There is also Dier, depending on his fitness, while Lo Celso is now out of the picture.

Attacking midfield

There are options galore now here with Eriksen, Alli, Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and potentially Sessegnon, although it's likely to be too early for the former Fulham man. Lo Celso of course is out with his hip injury.

Striker

Harry Kane is fit and sharp having scored four goals in his two England appearances.

Son and Lucas have both proved to be effective strikers when called upon while young Troy Parrott is quickly making a name for himself despite being just 17 and having not made his competitive debut yet.
