West Brom are now eight points from safety (nine really, considering their goal difference) and already look doomed. Alan Pardew looks certain to be sacked and whoever comes in instead of them will need to work a miracle to keep them up.

Kevin Friend has taken over, which means they were a fourth official down. An appeal for a qualified referee over the PA yielded no results, which means Jones is now performing the role, sitting on a chair between the two technical areas.
