Reported Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City transfer target Giovani Lo Celso may have dropped a hint about his future.
As reported by our sister site MEN Sport , the Lilywhites launched a €60million (£52.8m) bid for the 23-year-old but that offer was rejected by La Liga outfit Real Betis.
It remains to be seen if Spurs go back in with another bid or turn their attentions elsewhere, but an interesting development regarding the midfielder's Instagram account may give them encouragement.
As spotted on Reddit , Lo Celso has removed the 'Professional Footballer for Real Betis' from his Instagram bio.
Does that suggest he will no longer be playing for Real Betis next season? Only time will tell.
Betis only signed the 23-year-old a permanent basis last month, paying €22million to PSG. But the club's failure to qualify for Europe next season means that they may be forced to sell their most prized assets, including Lo Celso .
And the Argentinian wasn't giving too much away when speculation about his future came up a few months ago.
"A return to France? I don't know what may happen tomorrow. I try to focus on the present right now," Lo Celso told France Football . "We'll see when the time comes. Barca and Real's interests, I don't think about that. I'm young and I still have a long career ahead of me.
"My main objective is to finish the season as high as possible (in the standings) with Betis.
"You have to stay focused on what you're doing and continue to do what you're doing to keep moving forward. It's not good to think about the transfer window rumours."
