Gareth Bale to Tottenham: Fans deliver verdict on £10m loan move for Real Madrid ace

It is a transfer rumour that just will not go away.

Gareth Bale is out of favour at Real Madrid and has been linked with a move back to the Premier League, namely with former club Tottenham, although Manchester United are also reportedly in the running.

And the Tottenham Hotspur supporters have had their say as to whether the flying Welshman should return to the club this summer.

More than 1,000 fans took part in the  football.london poll and it brought up some very intriguing result as a whopping 63% are in agreement that Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino should attempt to bring back the winger.

But is a return in the cards for the Welshman?

Well, according to the Mirror it is unlikely despite manager Zinedine Zidane making it clear that Bale is no longer wanted in the Spanish capital by leaving him out of the last two squads entirely

Given his high wages and poor injury record there may not be too many clubs rushing to sign the 29-year-old on a permanent basis, therefore it has been reported that Madrid will let Bale leave on loan, with a loan fee of £10million mooted and Madrid paying some of his wages.

However, Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett told BBC Wales that nothing has changed regarding the forward's desire to stay at the Bernabeu for the rest of his career.

"Gareth is 100 per cent committed to Real Madrid," he said.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has urged his former club to bring Bale back to north London.

His Real Madrid days look numbered. I've heard that clubs in China are keen to sign Bale, but I would love to see him return to Tottenham,” he told the Daily Mail. "Imagine him lighting up their new stadium!”
