Spurs striker Harry Kane using old school tactics to get through lockdown

Harry Kane has been keeping himself busy even if his old school activity reminded him of what he could have been doing.

While some have been keeping themselves busy with their computer games, the Tottenham Hotspur striker has been taking part in a more traditional bit of fun.

Kane showed on his recent Instagram story post that he is putting together a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle which at home during the nationwide lockdown to combat the coronavirus spread.

Only Kane's jigsaw, one of a lion, hinted at what could have been this weekend.

England were set to play a friendly against Italy at Wembley on Friday (March 27) as part of their preparations for Euro 2020.

However, with the global shutdown of football so the friendly was cancelled and the Euros have now been pushed to next summer.

Kane would not have been fit for the England friendly anyway, although he is almost back to full fitness after his hamstring injury.

Here's his Instagram Story post:

Kane and his fellow Tottenham players have been working on their fitness from home during the break and are regularly contacted by Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff to check in on their progress.

Every Spurs player has been assigned a contact each from the club's medical and sports science teams to help oversee their home exercise programmes and ensure they are not having issues.

Players considered available to train are contacted three times a week by their physio contact to ensure they are having no issues with their dedicated home exercise programme.

Sports science staff are in contact more regularly to oversee these programmes for fit players and Kane will soon be among that number.

From Monday, the fit members of the squad will also be doing live video training sessions as a group with Mourinho and his coaches.
