OAKLAND, Calif. _ With the Spurs up big early in the third quarter of Game 1 in Oracle, their star forward, Kawhi Leonard, seemed to tweak his already ginger left ankle.
Leonard landed poorly on a corner 3, came up gimpy and asked out of the game. A couple minutes later, Leonard returned but again landed strangely on a shot from the same corner. He asked out of the game again and this time limped to the locker room with the trainer.
Leonard missed Game 6 of San Antonio's last series against the Rockets after twisting that left ankle late in Game 5.
