Spurs provide injury updates on Harry Winks, Ben Davies, Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko

Tottenham Hotspur have provided updates on four of their injured players ahead of the FA Cup fourth round match at Southampton.

Spurs have seen a couple of players returning to action in the past week with captain Hugo Lloris back in the team for the 2-1 victory against Norwich City on Wednesday night.

Midfielder Tanguy Ndombele was also back in training and back on the bench, although he remained unused by Jose Mourinho on the night.

Jose Mourinho's predictions were correct

One player who did pick up an injury against the Canaries was Harry Winks, who forced off with an ankle problem during the game.

Mourinho later said he believed the injury was more about weeks out rather than months despite the young midfielder needing to be helped, limping off the pitch.

Now Spurs have revealed that Winks' ankle is being assessed ahead of this weekend’s match against Southampton, indicating it is better than first feared.

The remaining three players in the treatment room, Ben Davies, Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko, are all continuing rehabilitation.

The Welshman has previously been revealed to be in the final stages of his rehab following his ankle injury.

Kane (hamstring) and Sissoko (knee) are both expected back in April, with Sissoko having flown to France with a member of club staff to work on his early rehabilitation stages.
