Spurs player ratings: Giovani Lo Celso a breath of fresh air, Ndombele dominant and Son's back

Paulo Gazzaniga

The Argentine made a big one-on-one save with his leg on 22 minutes from Pavkov and in the grand scheme of the game it ended up being an important one. His kicking was also excellent. 7

Juan Foyth

A solid display at right-back. Unfortunate to slip after a big tackle in the first half which then allowed Pavkov to get through on goal, but he was bailed out by Gazzaniga. Tried to get forward whenever he could. 7

Eric Dier

Slotted in well bearing in mind he's started only two games previously all season. Was a calming presence in between Sanchez and Rose. 7

Davinson Sanchez

Gave one ball away in front of his own penalty area which led to a break and later breathed a sigh of relief as a rebound off the post struck him and bounced up and on to the crossbar. Other than he defended well. 6

Danny Rose

Still sloppy in possession at times but he made a great run just after the hour mark and set up Son with a fine ball across the six yard box.  7

Tanguy Ndombele

Set up Kane for a chance within the first 15 minutes. Showed some lovely bits of skill and he refuses to just let the game stand still, pushing forward with the ball at every opportunity. When he's in top gear he's breathtaking and opponents just bounce off of him. 9

Moussa Sissoko

Covered every blade of grass, did plenty of defensive work and his driving runs kept putting the hosts on the back foot. 7

Dele Alli

A quiet first half but he improved in the second half before teeing up Son's first goal for him. Was replaced by Eriksen just after the hour mark. 6

Son Heung-min

Back in action after Sunday's drama and he sent a 23rd minute shot across the face of goal. Struck the crossbar in the build-up to Lo Celso's first half goal. Made no mistake just before the hour mark with by finishing off a quick Spurs move, celebrating with what looked to be apology to Andre Gomes. He doubled his tally moments later with a close range finish from Rose's pass. Just what he needed after the last few days. 9

Giovani Lo Celso

Finally making his first start almost three months after signing and he was a breath of fresh air for Spurs with his playmaking and physical play. It was his tackle that started the move that ended with him scoring with a composed finish amid the mayhem after half an hour. His passing was crisp, quick and clever throughout. Quiter in the second half but linked up well with Ndombele and then Eriksen and got 85 minutes under his belt. Now will Pochettino keep him in the side or say he needs a rest? 8

Harry Kane

Struck an effort into the side-netting early on and then hit the post before Lo Celso scored. Picked out Rose brilliantly with his pass in the build-up for Son's second goal. Struck a shot just wide with 20 minutes to go. 7

Subs

Christian Eriksen

Linked up well with Lo Celso soon after coming on and picked out Kane for a chance. Sent another effort at goal before scoring Spurs' fourth with a low deflected shot which will boost his confidence. 7

Ryan Sessegnon

Got 15 minutes under his belt and an assist, setting up Eriksen late on. 6

Oliver Skipp

Replaced Lo Celso for the final five minutes. N/A
