Spurs news: What happened with Dybala transfer, why Tottenham signed Lo Celso, Sessegnon's dream

Another transfer window is done.

And for the first time in a while, Tottenham had a very productive one.

Joining Jack Clarke and Tanguy Ndombele at the club were Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso on transfer deadline day.

But there was one that Spurs missed out on too.

It was a frantic day at Hotspur Way, and here we sum up the biggest stories from around Spurs from the past 24 hours.

Dybala transfer failure

The big transfer Spurs fans were looking out for on deadline day was that of Paulo Dybala.

The Juventus striker emerged as a shock link a few weeks ago, although it was deemed a long shot to get over the line.

And that has proved correct, with Spurs failing to tie up a deal for the 25-year-old frontman.

It all came down to the Argentinian's image rights, which are owned by a third party.

Finance expert Dean Rudge took a look at the details behind the failed move.

Lo Celso scouting report

Spurs were after Giovani Lo Celso for much of the window.

And after weeks of negotiations a deal was finally announced on transfer deadline day, 20 minutes after the window closed.

It was confirmed as a loan deal, with an obligation to buy at the end of next season.

But why were Spurs so desperate to get the Argentinian in?

Here we take a look at what he will offer Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Sessegnon's dream

Ryan Sessegnon was the other new arrival at Tottenham on transfer deadline day.

He was another that Spurs have been chasing for some time - more time than they have been after Lo Celso in fact, with the Fulham wonderkid on the radar for the last few transfer windows.

Sessegnon is expected to battle it out with Danny Rose and Ben Davies for the left-back or left wing-back spot this season,a lthough he will have to recover from an injury first.

Here's what he has had to say after joining the club.
