Spurs news: Pochettino's international break plan, Eriksen contract update, transfer hopes

What will Mauricio Pochettino be doing during the two-week break from Premier League action?

He certainly has plenty to ponder.

His Tottenham team are going nowhere in the Premier League, failing to win any of their last five league matches.

While they may be one win away from Champions League progression, all is not well at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And previous international breaks have come and gone, with no upturn in form.

Fans will be hoping there is a change this time around.

Here we take a look at the biggest stories from around Spurs in the past 24 hours.

International break plan

The last international break appeared to come at a good time for Tottenham, but they did not come out of the other side with any better form.

What will happen after this current two-week break?

Mauricio Pochettino will be at Hotspur Way with the younger players and those not called up for international duty and he will have a number of things to think about without Premier League football on the agenda.

Here we take a look at the manager's to-do list before top-flight football returns.

Eriksen contract update

Christian Eriksen's form this season has been startling in comparison to his previous five years with the club.

The Dane has regularly been one of Spurs' top performers since arriving in N17 from Ajax, but this season has been completely different.

His contract runs out at the end of this season and that has been blamed for his poor performances.

But the Dane does not believe that is the case.

Players linked with transfer

The January transfer window is just around the corner.

And Tottenham could do with reinforcements, if their Premier League form is anything to go by.

Spurs are languishing in 14th place and in need of a boost.

As is the case with the transfer window, there are always plenty of rumours flying around in the lead up to it actually opening.

And with little more than month to go before it opens in earnest, Spurs have been linked with a fair few new signings.

We take a look at them all here.

Pochettino's future

Given Spurs' poor form, questions are being asked about the manager's future.

Mauricio Pochettino has enjoyed five good seasons at the Tottenham helm, but for the first time he is coming under fire.

There is no doubt that he is a top manager and that is borne out by the clubs who are supposedly interested in making hi their new manager.

Bayern Munich are one of those clubs reportedly interested.

Here's the latest on Pochettino's future.
