Spurs news: Pochettino on his future, Kane laughs off rumours, ex-referee's verdict on Dele Alli

There is no time for Tottenham to stew on their draw with Watford on Saturday.

The Champions League is next up and a clash with Red Star Belgrade.

Spurs have had a number of opportunites to get back on the horse after poor results already this season, and not really taken them.

Will this midweek be different?

Mauricio Pochettino was joined by Harry Kane for his pre-match press conference and everything from that and more is below in our round-up of the biggest news stories from around Spurs in the last 24 hours.

Pochettino's future

Is Mauricio Pochettino starting to feel the pressure at Tottenham?

The Argentinian has seen his team fail to win in their last three games in all competitions and they face a must-win Champions League clash with Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday evening.

Pochettino has been tipped to be one of the first Premier League managers to lose their job this season and the odds on him taking over at Real Madrid have also shortened.

He has been talking about his future during his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Red Star.

Kane on tiredness rumours

Why are Tottenham under-performing this season?

Nine game into the Premier League season and Spurs have three wins, three draw ans three defeats.

It has not been the start to the season anyone connected with the club will have been expecting and it's a bad trend no one can quite put their finger on.

Harry Kane was asked about the bad run, and quizzed over rumours that the team were "tired".

Here's what he had to say.

Dele Alli goal verdict

There was plenty of talk around Dele Alli's equalising goal against Watford on Saturday.

With four minutes left on the clock the England man capitalised on a defensive mix-up by the Hornets to fire home a leveller and spare Spurs' blushes.

But there was a bit of controversy as it appeared it may have hit his arm.

VAR adjudged that it hit the top of his shoulder, thus legitimate, and the goal was given.

Former referee Dermot Gallagher has had his say on the decision.

Lo Celso message

Giovani Lo Celso could be about to give Mauricio Pochettino a timely boost.

Spurs made three new signings in the summer, after two windows without a single transfer in, but two of the three have barely played.

Lo Celso picked up a hip injury while on international duty with Argentina in September and has barely featured as a result, denying Pochettino one of his attacking outlets.

But with Pochettino suggesting one of Lo Celso or Ryan Sessegnon could play a part on Tuesday, the Argentine has offered a teasing social media post about his recovery from injury.
