Spurs news: Pochettino backtracks on January, Harry Kane transfer claim, angry Son Heung-min

It was another disappointing weekend for Tottenham supporters.

After the international break, which came at a good time following the back-to-back heavy defeats against Bayern Munich and Brighton, Tottenham were looknig to get back on the horse with a game against rock-bottom Watford.

But they could only manage a draw, and only thanks to an 86th minute Dele Alli equaliser too.

Things are not turning for Mauricio Pochettino's men, and they have a week of Champions League action and a trip to unbeaten Liverpool to look forward to.

Here we round up the biggest news stories from around Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the last 24 hours.

Harry Kane claim

Harry Kane is not the only Tottenham player to have struggled to find his best form for the club so far this season.

The striker, who is the captain in the absence of the injured Hugo Lloris, had a bad day at the office, along with all of his team-mates as Spurs struggled to a 1-1 draw with rock-bottom Watford on Saturday.

It was another disappointing display from a team under pressure.

Kane has always said that as long as the club are moving in the right direction he would not seek pastures new, but are Spurs still moving in the right direction?

Spurs supporters will be concerned, not just about what's happening on the pitch, but the fate of the likes of Kane too.

And one Manchester United legend has made a big transfer claim.

Read all about it here.

January deals

Mauricio Pochettino stunned the majority of Tottenham fans when he suggested Spurs would not make any January signings when the transfer window re-opened.

Spurs have been something of a mess so far this season, struggling to find any form, with results falling by the wayside.

January moves were expected, until Pochettino said otherwise.

But the Watford draw may just have changed that.

Alasdair Gold analysed the Argentinian's press conference after the Hornets stalemate and had a bit of a rant about what's going on in the process.

Angry Son

Son Heung-min was left on the bench for the start of the draw with Watford.

That was mainly due to his long trip back from North Korea on international duty.

He came off the bench to make a bit of a mark, lifting the team from their slumbers in the second half and crashing an effort off the crossbar.

But it was what he did on the substitutes' bench that got all the Tottenham fans talking.

See what happened here.

Lo Celso update

Giovani Lo Celso could be about to give Mauricio Pochettino a timely boost.

Spurs made three new signings in the summer, after two windows without a single transfer in, but two of the three have barely played.

Lo Celso picked up a hip injury while on international duty with Argentina in September and has barely featured as a result, denying Pochettino one of his attacking outlets.

But he has offered a teasing social media post about his recovery from injury.
