Spurs news: Levy's promise, why Juventus may be forced to sell Dybala, Pochettino gets spiky

It could be a busy last couple of weeks of the transfer market for Tottenham.

Two new signings have already arrived, but Spurs are in the market for more.

The first team have been in the Far East on a pre-season tour in the past week, but will be returning home now, following a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.

Here we round up the biggest stories from around Spurs in the past 24 hours.

Pochettino's rant

Tottenham were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United in their second International Champions Cup outing in Shanghai.

A Lucas Moura goal was not enough for Spurs as Anthony Martial and Angel Gomes netted either side of the Brazilian's effort to secure the win.

And Pochettino was not particularly happy after the game, even though it may have been a pre-season friendly.

The boss got a bit spiky in his post-match press conference.

You can read all of that here.

United fans unhappy

There were a few tackles flying in during the game in Shanghai.

And the United supporters were not happy with one particular moment.

New signing Daniel James was knocked off the ball by Moussa Sissoko, but what happened next riled the fans.

Here's why.

Dybala to Spurs

Tottenham fans are getting excited at the prospect of signing Juventus striker Paulo Dybala.

football.london revealed on Wednesday night that the club had made contact with the Italian giants over an £80million move for the frontman.

It would be quite the statement from Spurs, to break their transfer record twice in the same window.

And they could be given some encouragement given Juve's finances.

We asked our financial expert to take a look behind the scenes.

Levy's promise

Spurs signed a new eight-year deal with shirt sponsors AIA on Wednesday.

The kit deal is worth a reported £40million a year, so a whopping £320million between now and 2027, putting them on a par with the likes of London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea when it comes to revenue from sponsorship.

Daniel Levy revealed all during a press conference in Shanghai.

And during it he was asked about the future on the playing side, with transfers this summer.

Here's what he had to say.
