Spurs news: Juventus 'scout' Son, Pochettino's turning point, big injury blow and Lo Celso start

It's been an up and down season for Tottenham Hotspur thus far.

Positives include away draws against Manchester City as well as north London rivals Arsenal and thrashing Crystal Palace at home in the Premier League.

But in truth there has been far more negatives with the 7-2 loss at home against Bayern Munich in the Champions League sitting a top of a very long list.

Last time out the Lilywhites were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool in a result which means they remain without an away win in the league since the middle of January.

The north London outfit are next in action on Sunday as they return to Merseyside to face Everton and Mauricio Pochettino will be hopeful of some good news ahead of that game.

With that said, here's all the news from around the at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Turning point for Pochettino

Spurs do tend to perform very well at Goodison Park.

Pochettino is yet to lose there since taking on the job in 2014, winning 6-2 last season after falling behind early on to Theo Walcott's goal.

In fact, Everton's last home victory over Spurs came almost seven years ago as two stoppage-time goals from Steven Pienaar and Nikica Jelavic sealed an incredible turnaround.

That statistic coupled with the fact that Tottenham tend to hit top form in the month of November are reasons to be positive ahead of Sunday's game.

It's the fixture that could very well be a turning point in the season.

Juventus' 'scouting' mission

It wasn't just the eyes of English football on Spurs' 2-1 loss against Liverpool last weekend.

Reports in Italy claim reigning Serie A champions Juventus had a keen interest in events at Anfield - and it's not great news for either club.

Tuttosport stated that officials from the Turin-based giants were sent to watch Mohamed Salah and Spurs duo Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min, who are said to have been identified as potential transfer targets.

They would have been impressed by Salah and Son, but ironically would probably have a better chance of signing Eriksen - who had a quiet game against the Reds - as he is out of contract next summer.

Everton injury blow

Yerry Mina has emerged as a big injury doubt for Everton ahead of Sunday's game against Spurs.

The Colombian missed the Toffees' controversial 3-2 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday due to a problem in his right knee but was deemed fit enough to return on Tuesday against Watford in the Carabao Cup.

However, he only lasted 41 minutes and now is Marcos Silva is hoping for good news.

Asked if the ex-Barcelona defender would be ruled out, Silva, as reported by the Liverpool Echo, said: "It's too early to say to you about that.

"Before the game he was completely ok.  When we changed close to half-time he was in pain in that moment.  When I spoke to him at the end of the game did was walking and did not feel pain no more.  So it is a little strange.

"It is nothing special he has, even the injury was nothing really special.  He had some pain disturbing him but we hope he will be ok in the next day or two."

Week 10 Premier League round-up

Lo Celso full debut?

All eyes will be on Pochettino's team selection against Everton.

One change he definitely has to make to the side that lost 2-1 at Liverpool last Sunday is at left-back as Danny Rose misses out through suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.

But what other alterations could the Argentine make?
